The dates and cities he visited were the following: July 31 - Madrid, August 1 - Girona, Aug. 3 - Sopot, Poland, Aug. 5 - Budapest, Hungary, Aug. 8 - Tampere, Finland, Aug. 10 - Brussels, Belgium. He will be in New York from August 24-26, 2008. Although the rehearsal and recording schedule is as yet unknown, a limited number of lesson slots will be available during this time period. If your schedule is flexible, and you would like to set up a lesson in Manhattan, you may call or email. Roger will be in Los Angeles October 9-12, 2008. Lesson slots are available.
In May, Roger presented a clinic at the Performing Arts Center of Lyons Township High School in Western Springs, Illinois. Earlier that month he was in Los Angeles for the Los Angeles Jazz Institute's The Stage Door Swings Jazz Festival at the LAX Sheraton Four Points hotel. Roger was in NY performing with the Harry Connick, Jr big band at the "Concert of Hope" pre-mass performance when the Pope graced NY at Yankee Stadium. As always, Roger is available for clinics and private teaching at home in Chicago or elsewhere. If you would like to have a lesson, please visit his online calendar to confirm lesson availability that day, then email or call Vic at 708.250.7660 to setup a lesson time.
Roger's recent clinician performances include a clinic/masterclass at the University of Delaware on May 6, 2008; he was the guest artist with the Jazz Ensemble that evening in the Loudis Recital Hall. Previously, he presented clinics at the North Shore Jazz Fest in Glenview, IL, the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glascow, Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium in Copenhagen, and the University of the Arts at Bremen University in Bremen Germany. Roger's recent live performances include gigs with Liza Minnelli, Paul Anka, the Big Apple Circus, the Pratt Brothers Big Band, the Scott Whitfield Jazz Orchestra, the Chris Walden Big Band, the Alan Quinn Orchestra, as well as club dates, (casuals, jobbing dates,) and various Broadway productions. The Roger Ingram Calendar is online with performance and venue details. Any recording sessions, club dates/casuals that Roger does while at home are not necessarily mentioned on the calendar. The purpose of the calendar is to inform people around the globe when Roger will be in your area doing a live performance so you may take advantage of the opportunity to schedule a lesson or clinic with him. Similar to the appointment he held at the University of Miami in the early 1990s, Roger is maintaining a position as "Artist in Residence" at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. During the summer months, in addition to public performances and recording sessions, he teaches from home in Chicago. See the calendar for details about his upcoming activities. Mr. Ingram is credited as a private instructor and clinician at Universities and High Schools around the world. For details, see the Clinics page. For details on upcoming performances, see the Calendar. And for information about having a private lesson with Roger, you may see the Lessons page.
